Questions
About Roteh Tours

What is agrotourism, and what makes Roteh Tours different?

Agrotourism means travelling to farms and rural communities — learning, cooking, harvesting and staying where food is actually grown. Roteh Tours builds structured, community-based experiences: curated farm agendas co-designed with each village, delivered by trained local hosts, with income flowing directly to the community.

What is included in an experience?

Each experience includes your trained local host, all listed activities (temple storytelling, farm work, workshops, cooking), meals prepared from the village's own harvest, and accommodation where an overnight is part of the agenda. Transport from Phnom Penh can be arranged on request.

How big are the groups?

We host everyone from individual travellers and couples to school groups and corporate teams. Group sizes are agreed with the host community in advance so villages are never overwhelmed — for larger school or company groups, contact us and we will co-plan the visit.

How does my booking support the community?

Revenue flows directly to farmers, hosts and artisans — we target a +20% income increase for partner communities every year. Hosts are paid for hosting, guiding and meals, artisans for workshops, and homestay families for accommodation. Measuring and reporting this impact is part of our model.

How do I book, and what is the cancellation policy?

Booking happens through Telegram — tap “Book via Telegram” on any experience and we will confirm dates, group size and pick-up together. Plans change; let us know as early as possible and we will rebook or cancel with you. TODO client: confirm formal cancellation terms.

What should I bring?

Light, comfortable clothing you don't mind getting a little farm on, closed shoes or sandals with grip, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and a refillable water bottle. In the green season, add a light rain jacket — the rain is part of the experience.

What are the homestays like?

Homestays are real village homes prepared for guests: clean bedding, mosquito nets, fans and simple bathrooms. If you prefer more privacy, local guesthouses (or our partner stay Amaya, for the Green Season experience) are available — just tell us when booking.

Who are these experiences designed for?

Schools and youth programs looking for purpose-led trips, corporate teams for CSR and team building, expat professionals and business travellers after premium short experiences — and any conscious traveller who wants their trip to mean something to the people who host it.
