Why Agrotourism Matters for Cambodia

Cambodia welcomed 6.7 million international tourists in 2024, up 23% on the year before. Yet almost none of that value reaches the places that hold the country's deepest stories: its farms, its food traditions, its village life.

Farmers and artisans miss the chance to diversify and earn from visitors, and the options that do exist are small-scale, scattered and hard to book. That is the gap Roteh Tours was built to close — with structured, community-based agrotourism that turns farms into destinations.

We empower farms and communities through tourism.

Our model is a repeatable six-step loop: map community assets, co-design experiences with the community, deliver them with trained local hosts, sell through partners and direct booking, generate local income, and measure and improve. Revenue flows to farmers, hosts and artisans — with a +20% income target for partner communities, every year.
